Zelenskyy's warning came just one day after Ukraine's military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, confirmed in an interview with The War Zone that Russia has significantly improved North Korea's KN-23 ballistic missiles.

Russian and Ukrainian delegations have begun talks in Istanbul, Turkey, on Monday, less than 24 hours after a massive Ukrainian drone attack struck Russian airfields. The two delegations entered Ciragan Palace in Istanbul alongside a group of senior Turkish officials. It is the second round of peace talks to take place in the three years since Russia invaded Ukraine. Images from the event show many of the Ukrainian delegation wearing military uniforms, while the Russian group exclusively wore suits.

Russian forces have captured the village of Kopanky in Ukraine's northeastern Kharkiv region, Russia's Ministry of Defence has said. Two civilians have died in Russian shelling in the city of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, adding that a rescue operation is under way and more people could be under debris. It said 26 drones were detected over the Belgorod region, 10 over Bryansk, and eight over Kursk, among several other regions. The strikes killed two people in Russia's Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Saturday. The governors of Kursk, Kaluga and Bryansk, all in western Russia, reported strikes in their regions as well. Ukraine's air force said it shot down a Russian strategic bomber with antiaircraft missiles for the first time since the war began in 2022.
